GREAT finds!!!!!

I went shopping today in Greenville with my family and found some AMAZING deals!!!!

  • At Ross, I found Funny Face (Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire) for $4.99!!!! I also found Sex and the City: The Movie for only $4.99!!!
  • At Marshall's, I found a CLEMSON orange Lacoste hand/hair towel for $7.00 on sale!!!
  • At New York & Company, I REALLY racked up!! They had a huge sale going on, with items 70% off the original price! I found lots of things to take to Costa Rica that I had been looking for: 2 pair of shorts, and about TEN tank tops that I can layer and mix and match but that are still conservative enough to wear there!!!
  • At JCPenney, I found an adorable dress! I normally, well, never really shop there, but while putting some outfits together for my mom, I came across this dress on clearance for $11.99!! It's yellow and white floral v-neck with a ruffle collar, and it fits and ties at the waist, with a hem of about 3 inches at the bottom!! I can't wait to wear it! Especially with some red heels!!!

good info!!!!

Three questions every woman asks....

So I'm not married, but I think these are good posts:
Four questions wives should ask their husbands...

Five questions husbands should ask their wives...

It looks like a lot of the issues in marriage are due to COMMUNICATION ISSUES! When I get married, I want to have LOTS of conversations, even uncomfortable ones, so that my marriage can be all that God intended it to be!!

just getting started.

Well, it is nearly 3 AM on a Sunday night, and instead of sleeping like I should be, I am awake, creating a blog to finally try to keep up with the chaos in my somewhat fashionista mind!

First of all, I can't sleep because on the car ride home from Charleston today, I slept for at least 2 hours. Long naps ALWAYS result in a sleepless night for me!

This brings me to what truly inspired me to start blogging about all things southern and fabulous...Charleston, South Carolina. For years, it has been a favorite place of mine to visit. I really wanted to attend the College of Charleston, but those plans changed when I got accepted to Clemson University! I always loved the beach there, the shops downtown, the history ... every time I go is like the very first time all over again. The beauty and charm overwhelm me. I love the old homes, the Battery, Rainbow Row, the Isle of Palms, Shem Creek, and just the lifestyle there. Things seem more relaxed there. I love the constant warm ocean breeze crossing the harbor and the beach. I love the boutiques downtown and all the shopping you can do. My best friend, Travis, from high school attends the College of Charleston and shares my love for fashion. He has worked backstage at Charleston Fashion Week and has trained models who have walked in the shows.

I love southern style - bowties, seersucker, sundresses, and pearls - and wish that my budget was not that of a meager college student so that I could buy more of these things! So for now, I will settle for a blog to live out my fantasy of MY idea of the southern dream - to live in a historic home downtown Charleston on the Battery, wearing only the finest that Charleston has to offer, living the life of a southern lady, spending summers on the beach and the boat, going out on the town and enjoying the company of as many friends as possible.
